The Ministry of Internal Affairs says that Sergei Shoigu, Secretary General of the Russian National Security Council, who arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-ranking delegation, called Afghanistan important for the region in a meeting with Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a press release saying that Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs, met with Sergei Shoigu, Secretary General of the Russian National Security Council and the accompanying delegation.
According to the press release, in this meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on all political, security and economic aspects.
Shoigu assured that the Russian government will soon remove the Islamic Emirate from the list of banned groups.
He expressed hope that this phase will end in a short time and that this will develop relations between the two countries in various fields.
Shoigu called Afghanistan's security important for the region and said: A peaceful Afghanistan is a good opportunity to develop regional prosperity and economic relations.
The Acting Minister of Internal Affairs called the visit of the high-ranking Russian delegation to Afghanistan a positive and meaningful step and expressed hope that this visit would strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.
Sirajuddin Haqqani said that Afghans are now independent and are in control of their political destiny and making their own decisions.
He added that we hope not only for a peaceful Afghanistan, but also for stability and prosperity for the entire region.
He said: After the end of the occupation in Afghanistan, the war has ended and all factors of instability have been eliminated, so the region should make the most of this opportunity.
Earlier, Sergei Shoigu, Secretary General of the Russian National Security Council, arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-ranking delegation and met and discussed separately with senior officials of the Islamic Emirate, including the political and economic deputies of the prime ministers. In these meetings, in addition to discussing the expansion of economic relations, the Secretary General of the Russian National Security Council said that Moscow wants Afghanistan to regain its seat as an observer member in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
