A member of the Iraqi Parliament's Security and Defense Committee, emphasizing that Iraq is not a powerless country as the Zionists imagine and that it has more than 2 million Popular Mobilization Forces and security forces, has said that in the event of any Israeli aggression against Iraq, Baghdad's response will be inevitable

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): After the Zionist regime submitted an official complaint to the UN Security Council against Iraq, many believe that the threats of this regime have become tangible and significant and the Iraqi government must work to contain the crisis and prevent its catastrophic consequences.
In this regard, Washington, by virtue of the strategic framework agreement with Baghdad, finds itself in a sensitive position and is responsible for defending Iraq against any external threat.
Ali al-Bandawi, a member of the Iraqi Parliament's Security and Defense Committee, emphasized during an interview with Al-Ma'uluma News Agency regarding this case that if the Zionist regime is involved in any attack on the country, Iraq's response will be certain and inevitable.
Al-Bandawi continued, adding that Iraq is not a powerless country as the Zionists think, because it has more than 2 million Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and security forces.
He also stated that the Zionist regime knows very well that targeting Iraq will not go unanswered and will lead to a different stage of tension in the West Asian region, and that Iraq is one of the countries that the Zionist regime considers a threat to itself.
This member of the Iraqi Parliament's Security and Defense Committee also noted that: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government, and all diplomatic missions must adopt a unified position against this recklessness and indifference of the Zionists, and the Security Council must also be informed of the Zionist regime's hidden intentions and goals.
In this regard, Salam Hussein, a member of the Iraqi Al-Fatah coalition, emphasized that the security agreement between Baghdad and Washington obliges the United States to keep Iraqi airspace safe from aggression against the country's territory.
He called on the Iraqi government to terminate the agreement if the United States shirks it.
Salam Hussein also stated that the Zionist regime cannot attack Iraq without the consent of the United States, and therefore Baghdad will not remain silent and will respond.
He continued that the United States knows very well that opening a front with Iraq will complicate the scene and will have major consequences.
The Iraqi official finally emphasized the need for Iraq to have an advanced defense system to defend its sovereignty and security against any foreign aggression.
According to ISNA, Israel Katz, the Israeli Minister of War, had previously held the Iraqi government responsible for the attacks by the Iraqi resistance on the Israeli regime in a statement. Tel Aviv has also filed a complaint with the Security Council, demanding that urgent measures be taken regarding the activities of the Iraqi resistance against the Israeli regime. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani described the complaint as a pretext for an invasion of Iraq.
The resistance has threatened to target American interests if it attacks Iraq.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar also announced that he has sent a letter to the Security Council, requesting it to pressure the Iraqi government to end the resistance groups' attacks on the occupied territories.
The Iraqi parliament will hold an extraordinary session tomorrow (Monday) to examine the Zionist regime's threats against Baghdad.
In this regard, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani announced that part of the session will be public and part will be secret.
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said on Friday that there are clear threats from the Zionist regime against Iraq. He emphasized that the Iraqi government is not seeking war and is trying to avoid war with previously considered policies.
The Iraqi Foreign Minister said at the fifth conference on peace and security in the "Middle East" held at the American University of Duhok that Iraq is concerned about the situation in the region and that the Baghdad government has taken internal and external measures to confront the threats of the Zionist regime.
The Iraqi Islamic Resistance says that its operations are carried out in continuation of its approach of resisting the occupation, helping the people of Palestine and Lebanon, and also in response to the massacres that the usurping regime commits against civilians, including children, women and the elderly.
