Thousands of people forced to leave the Shuja'iyyah neighborhood in Gaza

24 Nov 2024 - 12:05

Following the Zionist occupation army's warning to immediately evacuate the Shuja'iyyah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, the neighborhood has witnessed a massive exodus of civilians since yesterday evening.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): On Saturday, hundreds of residents of the Shuja'iyyah neighborhood in eastern Gaza were forced to leave their homes and migrate to the central and southern areas of Gaza due to fear of attacks. They had to leave their homes on foot and with little luggage due to a lack of vehicles and fuel.

The Israeli occupation army has declared the Shuja'iyyah neighborhood a "dangerous war zone" and has called for the immediate evacuation of all homes.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraei announced in a statement that residents of blocks 731, 732, 733 and 634 of the Shuja'iyyah neighborhood must immediately migrate south, as this area is a "dangerous war zone." He claimed that Palestinian groups are firing rockets at Israel from these areas.

In recent days, the occupying army has carried out severe attacks in the Shuja'iyah neighborhood, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and injuries. Northern Gaza has been under the most severe attacks and all-out siege for 50 days.

The forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of families over the past year has become one of the manifestations of the pain and suffering of the people of Gaza; the Israeli army has repeatedly and without prior notice attacked various areas of the Gaza Strip and called on residents to evacuate.

Many families have experienced displacement and forced migration from one area to another more than 5 times.
