Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: Local officials in Daikundi have told the media in a press release that five people suspected of theft and drug trafficking have been arrested this week by security forces in three separate operations.
Ghulam Ali Javed, spokesman for the Daikundi Police Headquarters, said in a press release that three motorcycles, five mobile phones and a quantity of drugs were seized from the arrested people.
He added that two people suspected of theft were arrested last night from the "Sukhtok" area of the first security zone along with two motorcycles and five mobile phones.
Mr. Javed also said that three days ago, two people suspected of stealing a motorcycle were arrested in the "Pirbagh" village of Nili city, and they confessed to their crime.
According to him, in addition, another person was arrested on charges of buying and selling drugs from the city of Neili, and a quantity of drugs was recovered from him.
