Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The correspondent of the Russian news agency "Ryanovsky" reported today (Monday) that the naval forces of Russia and Indonesia held their first joint exercise called "Orruda 2024" in the "Java Sea" near the naval base in "Surabaya" have started.
This exercise was announced for the first time in August and will continue from today to November 8 (14 to 18 Scorpio) and is considered the first bilateral exercise between the navies of the two countries since Indonesia's independence 79 years ago.
In the four-day exercise in Moscow and Jakarta, the command of the Indonesian Navy and the commander of the "Primorskaya" fleet of the combined forces of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Alexei Sysoev, are present.
Russia's ambassador to Indonesia, Sergey Tulchinov, said at the opening of the exercise, "Military cooperation is a natural part of the relations between the two countries."
