The continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes in Gaza; More than 50 children were martyred in the last 2 days

3 Nov 2024 - 11:03

UNICEF reported that over the past two days, more than 50 children have been killed in the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza following the bloody attacks of the Israeli occupying army.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Catherine Russell, Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), wrote on the official website of this organization: "We witnessed a bloody weekend in northern Gaza" in a report on the latest developments in Gaza.
The report states: "Only in the last 48 hours, more than 50 children have been killed in Jabalia. In these attacks, two residential buildings that sheltered hundreds of people have been razed to the ground.
On May 15th, the occupying Israeli army announced the beginning of a large-scale attack on northern Gaza, especially the "Jebalia" camp and "Beit Lahia" town. Since then, northern Gaza has been under siege, massive killings and widespread displacement.
A UNICEF report published on Saturday evening states: "This morning, a personal car of a UNICEF employee was attacked in the Jabalia-Al-Nazle area while performing duties related to the polio vaccination campaign. An attack apparently carried out by a drone. Fortunately, this employee was not injured, but he was greatly affected by this incident.
According to this report, at least three children were injured near a vaccination clinic in Sheikh Rizwan, during a polio vaccination campaign, due to another attack. UNICEF added: "The attacks on Jabalia, the vaccination clinic and the UNICEF employee are other examples of the dire consequences of the attacks. Indiscriminately targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip, these recent incidents, given the appalling level of child mortality in northern Gaza, mark another dark chapter in one of the darkest periods of this terrible war.
The United Nations Children's Fund continued to emphasize that according to international humanitarian law, civilians and civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, aid workers and their vehicles must be protected at all times.
This international organization added: "Relocation or evacuation instructions are not considered a license for any of the parties to the conflict to target civilians in an area as military targets." Also, these instructions do not exempt them from their obligations to distinguish between military and civilian targets and to take all possible precautions in attacks.
However, these principles are repeatedly and openly violated by the Israeli army, resulting in tens of thousands of children being killed, injured and deprived of essential life-saving medical services, UNICEF emphasized.
The report continues: "UNICEF calls on Israel to immediately investigate the details of the attack on its employee and take the necessary measures to prosecute and punish those responsible. UNICEF also calls on member states to use their influence to ensure Respect international laws and prioritize the protection of children. It is time to end this war."
According to the report of the Gaza Ministry of Public Health, more than 70% of the war victims are women and children.
More than four thousand children have also been amputated. Among them, thousands of children have lost all their family members and have no guardian, some sources have mentioned the number of these children up to 10 thousand.
