Nabiyeh Bari, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, announced yesterday (Friday, Nov 1) that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected Lebanon's road map for a ceasefire.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Nabieh Bari", Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, announced yesterday (Friday, Nov 1) that the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, rejected Lebanon's roadmap for a ceasefire.
Barry, who was talking to the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, said that this road map was agreed upon by Amos Hochstein, the US special envoy in Lebanon, and with this action, the recent US plan for a ceasefire in Lebanon was completely canceled.
This Lebanese official noted: Political actions and movements to solve this crisis were postponed until after the American elections. This issue causes the situation in Lebanon to be tied to developments in the field.
While expressing his concern about "Lebanon turning into the second Gaza", he clarified: Hochstein has not contacted us since he left Israel.
Nabi Bari also said that Hochstein had promised in his previous trips to Lebanon that he would go to Tel Aviv if he saw positive things, but after he left Tel Aviv, he did not tell us anything.
In the end, he said that Lebanon is firm on its principles regarding these negotiations, the most important of which is adherence to international resolution 1701.
Resolution 1701 was issued on August 11, 2006 to end the war between Lebanon's Hezbollah and Israel. Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Shahid Hezbollah, emphasized that parts of this resolution are unfair; Apart from the fact that the Zionists never adhered to it.
