The contract for the large project of Yatim Taq cement production in Jawzjan province between the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and "77 Turki" company was signed today with an investment of 163 million dollars for 30 years.
Afghan Voice Agency (Ava) - Kabul: The press conference of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum today (Tuesday, Oct 29) was attended by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Minister of Economy, a number of high-ranking government officials, Turkish Ambassador Genk Onal and members of the media. In order to sign the contract for the large cement production project of Yatim Taq in Jawzjan province with "77 Turki" company, it was held at the government media center in Kabul.
In this meeting, Mullah Hidayatullah Badri, Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, announced the signing of a 30-year contract with "77 Turki" for the Yatim Taq cement project in Jawzjan province.
He also added that this company will invest about 163 million dollars in the field of exploration, extraction and social services according to its commitments in this project.
Referring to the production capacity of this company, the Acting Minister of Mines said; About 3000 tons of cement will be produced in this factory daily.
He informed about the creation of job opportunities for 1,200 people directly in this project and added that for the self-sufficiency of the country in the cement sector, this ministry invested about 476 million dollars in the cement projects of Jabal Al-Sraj, Kandahar and Herat with a number of domestic and foreign investors.
At the same time, Turkish Ambassador Cenk Onal called this project important in strengthening the relations between Afghanistan and Turkey and said: I am extremely happy to cooperate with my Afghan brothers.
He expressed satisfaction with the activities of Turkish investors in Afghanistan and added: Such projects will help improve the situation in Afghanistan.
The ambassador of Turkey in Kabul concluded a contract with the Ministry of Mines of the country and said: "I hope that Turkish construction companies will participate in the construction sectors of Afghanistan in the near future."
It should be mentioned that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has signed more than a dozen projects with various domestic and foreign companies for the extraction of mines and natural resources of the country this year.
