A specific quota must be set for using the water of the Amu Sea

Ismatullah Irgashiv, Uzbekistan's special representative for Afghanistan affairs, has stated that Afghanistan has the right to use the water of the Amu Sea, but a specific quota should be set for using this water source.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to the Uzbek media, Irgashev announced that Uzbekistan has established a joint commission with Afghanistan to discuss the construction of the Ghoshtepe Canal in Afghanistan.
Esmatullah Irgashif stated: "The people of Afghanistan also have the right to use the water of Amu Darya. There is no problem between us. The issue is how much water each country will use."
It should be mentioned that the Ghosh Tepe canal is 285 km long, starting from Kaldar district of Balkh and passing through the plains of Haratan, Aqche Jozjan district and reaching Andkhoi Faryab district.
