Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office has issued a press release announcing the inauguration of the second line of the Kabul-Jalal-Abad road in the presence of Mullah Baradar.
According to the deputy's office, he said in the program that the road will be built in exchange for the toll fee imposed by separating the types of vehicles traveling on the Kabul-Jalal-Abad highway.
The deputy economic minister added: The products in the bank account of the Ministry of Public Works will be collected transparently, delivered to the bank and then the Ministry of Finance will provide necessary and immediate facilities related to consumption and operational needs.
He stressed the role of Nangarhar province in trade and regional connectivity and said the second Kabul-Jalal-Abad line would significantly contribute to strengthening the country's national economy.
The government official said that traffic congestion on the first line of the Kabul-Jalal-Abad road will also be reduced, adding that it will eventually reduce traffic accidents.
He considered the reconstruction of domestic transport as the first condition for regional connectivity and said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has taken significant steps in the field of transport infrastructure to strengthen trade and economy.
"More work is still needed in this area and the implementation of such basic projects is the responsibility of the Islamic Emirate," Mr. Baradar added.
He also asked the people to cooperate with the relevant authorities in implementing this important and fundamental project.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed that the implementers should seriously implement this important and strategic project in a fundamental and quality manner, taking into account the accepted criteria.
The second line of the Kabul-Jalal-Abad road, which is 150 kilometers long, starts from Bagrami district of Kabul province, passes through Khak Jabar of Kabul province and Hesarak, Khogyani and Sorkhrood districts of Nangarhar and connects to the Nangarhar Ring Road.
