Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Office of the Deputy Economic Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement today (Saturday, October 26) that cotton, raisins, figs, onions, saffron and eggplant are a large part of Afghanistan's export agricultural products.
According to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, only $162 million worth of Afghan cotton has been exported in the past nine months.
Afghanistan's agricultural products are exported to Iran, Germany, Pakistan, Turkey, India, China and some other countries, the office said.
In addition to agricultural products, minerals are also one of Afghanistan's export goods.
According to the Statistics and Information Department, Afghanistan imported $8.576 billion and exported $1.777.9 billion in 2014.
According to the department, among the imported goods, petroleum products and oils, machinery, transport vehicles, spare parts, metals and metal products are the main imported items of Afghanistan.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, fruits accounted for the largest share of exports last year, with a value of $645.5 million. Similarly, medicinal plants, minerals and vegetables were ranked second, third and fourth.
