AVA - Woman gives birth to triplets in Samangan province

A 37-year-old woman has given birth to "triplets" including a boy and two girls, officials at the provincial hospital in Samangan province say.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) _ Mazar-e-Sharif: Sayed Osman Hamidi, director of the provincial hospital in Samangan province, said a woman gave birth to triplets on Wednesday morning (Oct 9) and the delivery process was normal.

He added that the mother and babies were in good health and weighed 1,800 grams, 1,500 grams and 3 kilograms respectively.

It is worth mentioning that this year, normal multiple births have occurred for the first time in Samangan province.
