Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Syrian President Bashar Assad today (Saturday, October 5) in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and accompanying delegation, discussed the strategic relations between Syria and Iran and the importance of this relationship in dealing with He emphasized the challenges and dangers threatening the region and its people.

The official Syrian news agency wrote about this: "At the top of these challenges, the president mentioned the continued occupation of Arab lands by the Israeli regime and the daily crimes of killing and destruction against civilians in Lebanon, Palestine and Syria."

Bashar Assad emphasized that resistance against any occupation, aggression and massacre is a legitimate right and this resistance is powerful in the shadow of people's support and faith.

He also described Iran's retaliatory missile response to the Zionist regime's crimes against the people of the region and the sovereignty of countries as a strong response and said that this attack taught the occupying regime a strong lesson that the axis of resistance is capable of deterring the enemy and thwarting his plans. Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who is in Damascus on the second destination of his trip to the region and at the head of a delegation after Beirut, met and talked with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad this afternoon (Saturday).

Syrian media reported that Assad discussed ways to stop Israel's aggression against Lebanon and support and help the Lebanese brothers at public and official levels with Araghchi.
