Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Interior Minister of Brandenburg, Germany announced the closure of an Islamic center affiliated with the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in Furstenwald.

According to "Passair Noye Presse" newspaper, Michaël Steubgen, Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg, Germany, from the Christian Democratic Party, banned the activities of the Islamic Center of Islam in the city of Furstenwald.

The ministry claimed in a statement that this association acted against the idea of ​​"international understanding and constitutional order". Germany has claimed that this association can be assigned to the spectrum of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas. 

The spokesman of this ministry explained that this ban will now be implemented with the intervention of police forces.

In this statement, this action is justified as follows: We cannot tolerate associations that (according to Berlin) act against the order of the constitution or the idea of ​​international understanding.

In the justification of this action, it is stated: the hot spots of the Islamic culture of the Stone Age must be eradicated in order to avoid tension.

The German state official claimed that the "organised indoctrination of young people into extremist ideas" is particularly dangerous.

He added: We must deal with the root of this evil. He had already announced that he wants to take action against this association. Last winter, Stoubgen called for a quick ban on the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas in Germany. At that time, he said that only in this case, action can be taken against this association.

According to information from the Ministry of the Interior of the state of Brandenburg, the association was founded in Fürstenwalde in 2018 and operates the Al-Salam Mosque on site. This Islamic center offers Friday sermons and a wide range of activities for Muslims in the region.

According to Tasnim, in July 2023, the Brandenburg branch of Germany's domestic intelligence agency classified the club as a confirmed extremist organization. Stobgen claimed at that time: This association acts against the basic free democratic order, publishes anti-Jewish narratives and denies Israel's right to exist. We cannot accept this.

On July 24, Nancy Pfizer, the German Federal Minister of the Interior, banned the Hamburg IZH Green Mosque as an "important Iranian propaganda center in Europe". The German police throughout the country confiscated the assets and facilities of this center and its five affiliated organizations. 

The Islamic community of Germany has strongly criticized the action of the German government in closing the Hamburg Islamic Center and several mosques affiliated with it, and considers this action a major threat to the freedom of religion.

In order to enforce the ban on the Islamic Center of Hamburg (IZH) and its five affiliated organizations, German police officers searched the Islamic Center along with the Imam Ali Mosque and other related buildings in a total of 8 federal states.

In justifying this action, the German Federal Ministry of the Interior claimed that IZH is an extreme Islamist organization that pursues unconstitutional goals. Pfizer said serious suspicions were confirmed after extensive searches against IZH last November. According to him, the ideology of this club is against women's rights, against an independent judiciary and the democratic government of Germany.

The publication of the news of the closing of the Hamburg Islamic Center or the Imam Ali (AS) Mosque, which is also known as the Blue Mosque in Germany, has caused reactions and has been accompanied by criticism.

Recently, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Security of the state of Hamburg announced that Mohammad Hadi Muftah, the 57-year-old head of the center, has been deported from Germany.

According to the ruling, he is also not allowed to re-enter or stay in Germany, and if he does, he faces up to three years in prison. The radio station NDR 90.3 had previously reported about this.

Mohammad Hadi Muftah has been the head of the Hamburg IZH Islamic Center since the summer of 2018.

German media reported yesterday that Mohammad Hadi Muftah, the former head of the Islamic Center Hamburg (IZH), left Germany almost two weeks after his deportation order. Interior officials in Hamburg said Mufteh left the country on Tuesday evening. This meant that he left the country before the deadline that evening. It is said that he is now not allowed to return to Germany for the next 20 years, otherwise he will face a prison sentence.

In response to this news, Andy Grote, Hamburg's inner senator, announced: We expelled one of the most prominent Islamists in Germany. He claimed that Mufteh's departure from the country is good news for security in Germany. Shortly before the end of the deadline, Mofteh tried to take action against his dismissal.

According to IZH, Muftah is the highest Shia spiritual authority in Europe - excluding England. According to Hamburg's Department for the Protection of the Constitution, he is subject to the reports and orders of the leader of Iran and his deputy in Germany.
