The pharmaceutical board of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with the director of public health of Balkh province and other officials of this province. The investment of pharmaceutical companies of this country in Balkh province was the subject of this meeting.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Rahmatullah Mansour, head of public health of Balkh province, said in a meeting with the pharmaceutical board of the Islamic Republic of Iran: Afghanistan has always had peaceful and fraternal relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and these relations will continue in the future.

He added: "We support the activity of Iranian pharmaceutical companies in Balkh province with all our strength, and the investment of pharmaceutical companies in this province has been provided."

The Director of Public Health of Balkh Province assured the Pharmaceutical Board of the Islamic Republic of Iran that investment in this province will be implemented and welcomed without any problems and they can invest safely.


On the other hand, Najibullah Tawana, the head of Balkh province's spice and food department, said in this meeting: nationwide security has been provided in our dear country of Afghanistan and foreign pharmaceutical companies can operate in the cities and provinces of our country.

He stated that our country needs quality medicines, therefore we ask foreign pharmaceutical companies to work in the field of medicine production in Balkh Province and make good use of this opportunity.

Meanwhile, Sajjad Jafari, Deputy Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran residing in Mazar-e-Sharif, said: Our country has had good relations with Afghanistan for many years and the Islamic Republic of Iran will always be with the people of Afghanistan.

He acknowledged that we are determined to cooperate with the public health department of the province, and pharmaceutical companies of the Islamic Republic of Iran will operate in Balkh province.

It should be mentioned that at the end of this meeting, the vice consulate and the pharmaceutical board of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif visited the different departments of the Abu Ali Sinai Balkhi seminary hospital and visited the patients.
