Kunduz orphanage initiative to educate and care for orphans

The state orphanage of Kunduz Department of Labor and Social Affairs was officially opened and provided a nurturing environment for hundreds of orphans and orphans in this province.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Mawlawi Ahmad Shah Haqqani, head of the Kunduz Department of Labor and Social Affairs, stated to Bakhtar News Agency that the orphanage will serve as a home for orphaned and unaccompanied children, offering comprehensive education that combines religious and modern studies. Currently, the facility is supporting 220 boys and girls, with full access to food and educational resources.
He noted that the orphanage has the capacity to accommodate up to 400 boys and 200 girls. Upon completion of their studies, the children will be awarded a 14th-grade graduation certificate.
Mawlawi Abdul Ghafoor Shaheedzai, the head of the Kunduz Governor’s Office, emphasized that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate is committed to implementing initiatives that support the education and welfare of orphaned and unaccompanied children. He highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to provide necessary resources and opportunities for these children to thrive.
It is noteworthy that Kunduz is home to over 8,000 orphaned and unaccompanied children, underscoring the importance of such initiatives to address the needs of this vulnerable population./Bakhtar News
