Officials of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced the distribution of about 122,000 work permits for domestic and foreign nationals in the past year in the last year in the government's accountability program to the people, and they say that by signing 15 memorandums of understanding with various departments, the field of work for 1. 5 million tons will be provided.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In the continuation of the government's accountability programs to the people; Today, Saturday, 19 Sanblah, Maulvi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, said: By organizing the National Labor Conference and by signing 15 memorandums of understanding with various departments, this year, 1.5 million people will be provided with work.

He announced the opening of technical and vocational education courses for 74,738 people according to the needs of the labor market during the last year.

This official of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced the issuance of licenses to 118,755 citizens of the country and 3,381 foreigners in the past year and added that 15 technical and vocational education institutes were granted licenses. 

He informed about the necessary arrangements for sending skilled and semi-skilled workers with the countries of Qatar, Russia and the United Arab Emirates for the last one year and said that drafts of 9 memorandums in national and English languages ​​have also been prepared.

At the same time, Samiullah Ebrahimi, the spokesman of the ministry, announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with 68 institutions regarding care, technical and vocational training, and humanitarian aid and added; 60,000 people have benefited from this route and job opportunities have been provided for 3,000 others.

He also added that during the last one year, this ministry has conducted comprehensive studies on the labor market, job opportunities, workforce, and technical and vocational education at the level of seven zones.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs stated that during the last one year, 6 thousand 341 orphans were supported and 10 thousand 297 children were provided with educational opportunities, adding: in terms of cooperation agreements with various departments, in total 802 thousand 252 needy families have been supported.

He pointed out that out of 122,126 work permits, 25,000 were related to women. Over the past year, a large number of women have been employed in government offices.

Maulvi Rahimullah Sarah, the adviser of this ministry, informed about the follow-up of the obligations of the National Labor Conference, the distribution of work permits, the collection of comprehensive information about the labor market from 27 provinces, and the follow-up of the signing of memorandums of understanding with the countries of Qatar, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

He also added: creation of employment centers and their supervision at the level of zones, finalization of legislative documents, organization of awareness and training programs, addressing children's issues, continuity of support programs for orphans and orphans, and providing job opportunities, are among the ongoing programs.
