Conditional agreement of Hamas to the cease-fire proposed by the United Nations

António Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations 13 days ago, while announcing the need of Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip to receive polio response, proposed a seven-day humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

In this context, Egyptian sources have predicted in a conversation with al-Araby al-Jadeed that a humanitarian ceasefire will begin in Gaza in the next few days for the implementation of polio vaccination.
 
They explained that the expected cease-fire will last from three to five days during daylight hours and will not include areas where Israeli occupation forces are present.
 
The aforementioned sources mentioned that the ceasefire for polio vaccination in the Gaza Strip was discussed during the recent visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Egypt.
 
Israel's TV channel 13 reported yesterday, Wednesday, quoting anonymous sources, that Tel Aviv has agreed to a temporary humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip so that polio vaccinations can be carried out. Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated in response to the information published in this regard: "What was agreed upon is not a ceasefire, but only the allocation of specific places in the Gaza Strip for vaccination."
