Holding a festival and exhibition of grapes, honey and agricultural products in Herat

The 8th exhibition of grapes, honey and agricultural products was launched in Herat with local authorities, farmers and officials of companies and institutions supporting the development of agriculture.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Maulvi Pir Mohammad Halimi, head of Herat Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, says that this three-day festival and exhibition was held in the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of that province, and farmers and sellers of grapes, honey and other products They display and sell to visitors through forty booths.
 
He states that the purpose of holding these exhibitions is marketing for the sale of farmers' products, especially grapes and honey, inside and outside the country.
 
At the same time, a number of farmers and sellers of agricultural products in this exhibition have requested the officials of the Islamic Emirate to export their products abroad and want their products to be exported to world markets.
 
Also, Maulvi Mohammad Nasim Sahar, head of agricultural affairs of Herat's Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, says: "This year, we have an unprecedented increase in grape yields, and the increase in grape yields has increased by about 30-35 percent."
 
Maulvi Hayatullah Mohajer, deputy governor of Herat, says that there are efforts to mechanize the agricultural system in the country and to institutionalize the culture of using domestic products in the country.
 
The grape festival has been held every year for the past eight years, and its main purpose is to market our domestic products.
 
Herat grapes are world famous because of their unique taste. There are at least 50 types of grapes in Herat, the most famous of which is Lal Herat.
