Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said in the government's public accountability program that 1.3 billion Afghanis were provided to farmers and livestock breeders in the past year. Agriculture and livestock are implemented in the country.

He announced the granting of 1.3 billion Afghanis from the Ministry's Agriculture Development Fund to farmers, livestock breeders and the private sector to support the agriculture and livestock sector in the country. They are also expected to receive 2 billion Afghanis this year.
 
The acting minister of agriculture also added that the distribution of 33,000 metric tons of improved wheat seeds and 54,000 metric tons of chemical fertilizers to 660,000 farmers is one of the main activities of the ministry during the past year.
Omari also announced the implementation of 271 projects worth $300 million in the agriculture, irrigation and livestock sectors in coordination with partner agencies in the past year.
He said that five cold storages with a total capacity of about 1,190 metric tons have been built in Maidan Wardak, Kabul and Laghman, adding that 11 sulfur storage facilities have also been built for drying fruits in different provinces during the past year. is made.
The leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture also pointed to the ministry's efforts to change the traditional agriculture system to modern agriculture and said that they are also looking for marketing in the agricultural trade sector with neighbors.
 
He also pointed to the 2 percent growth of the country's forests and added: Forests have been protected and cut down and smuggled have been prevented during the past year.
 
Meanwhile, Maulvi Sadr-e-Azam Osmani, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, announced the construction of more than 1,500 plant displays to promote new farming methods and said 80,000 hectares of land have been protected from the spread of epidemic pests.
He also announced the launch of large agricultural exhibitions in the spring and autumn seasons in order to grow the agriculture and livestock sector and market the country's products during the past year.
 
The deputy minister of agriculture and livestock announced the implementation of irrigation projects in 11 provinces at a total cost of 50 million Afghanis and said that with the commissioning of these projects, 6,780 hectares of land will be irrigated in parallel. He also said: Construction of 138 waterfalls in 10 provinces to strengthen groundwater is underway, which will be completed and put into operation soon.
 
He also announced the artificial insemination of 300,000 cows to promote the improved breed of dairy cows and the vaccination of more than 16 million foreign animals during the past year. The collection and processing of dairy products in 34 provinces has also been among the important achievements of the ministry.
 
Mr. Osmani also informed about the construction of small poultry, dairy cattle and goat farms to strengthen the economy of families and said: Distribution of 272 new clinic licenses and extension of 2 thousand 151 animal clinic licenses in 34 provinces, as well as upgrading of poultry farms from 1,000 and 500 to 3,500 farms are among the achievements.
 
Meanwhile, Maulvi Baz Mohammad Faizan, deputy minister of irrigation and natural resources, said 1.7 million hectares of forests and 30 million hectares of grassland had been protected in 34 provinces.
He said more than 690,000 fruitful and non-fruitful seedlings had been distributed in the past year. A total of 82 million seedlings have been planted through seedling campaigns across the country over the past three years.
 
Maulvi Mahmoud Mazloom, head of land at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, also announced the registration of 1.7 million jeribs of returned government land in the land bank. It is also one of the tangible achievements of the ministry in the past year.
 
He also said that the survey of government land and pastures in 34 provinces and the stabilization of airports in Khost, Paktika, Zabul, Ghazni, Bamyan and Jaghori districts were other important achievements of the ministry during the past year.
 
Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock also confirmed the ownership rights, evaluation and acquisition of the Khaf-Herat railway project, the transmission of the CASA 1000 power line, the 220 kV and 500 kV projects in Herat, Jawzjan, Laghman, Baghlan, Ghazni and Faryab provinces. , and the second lane of the Kabul-Logar road were also announced as part of the ministry's one-year achievements.
