AVA - Ministry of Energy and Water Signs MoU with PMS Japan in Nangarhar

The Ministry of Energy and Water signed a memorandum of understanding with Project Management Support Japan (PMS) for the maintenance of 11 irrigation canal projects in Nangarhar province.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to the Ministry, Acting Minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor signed the agreement with Didar Mushtaq, the engineering head of PMS Japan.

Under the agreement, PMS Japan will undertake the maintenance projects over the next three years at a total cost of $710,000.

The mentioned canals are expected to irrigate more than 23,700 hectares of agricultural land, benefiting approximately 56,600 families. This initiative aims to ensure sustainable water management and support local agricultural productivity.
