Afghanistan increased exports by rail

The Ministry of Public Works announced that over 316,000 tons of goods were exported via railways during the month of August.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to the ministry’s report, from the beginning to the end of August, a total of 316,743 tons of goods were transported abroad using Afghanistan’s railway lines.
Specifically, 255,307 tons of goods were exported from Hairatan port, 27,831 tons from Aqina port, 29,029 tons from Torghundi, and 4,576 tons via the Khaf-Herat railway line. These exports included both oil and non-oil products.
The ministry has encouraged national traders to consider using the railway system for a secure, cost-effective, and efficient method of transporting commercial goods. For further coordination, they can contact the Railway Directorate officials at the Ministry of Public Works in Kabul and across the provinces.
