Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Kabul: Continuing the program of explaining the achievements of the government to the people; On Monday, Hafiz Sediqullah Abed, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, said that a total of 12,503 flights were operated from the country's airports in the past year.
 
He said 1 million 897 thousand 273 passengers were transported by air last year in the country and said; Of these, 774,700 were evacuated inside the country and 1.1 million 122,583 were evacuated abroad by air.
 
The Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Aviation announced the implementation of 18 development projects in the aviation sector and added: A total of 112 people have graduated from civil aviation training courses, 150 students have been recruited in the ministry's offices and about 500 others have been employed in the vacancies of the ministry. have been appointed.
 
He said 547,380 vehicles moved from Afghanistan to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Iran and Pakistan last year, adding that 434,709 vehicles from neighboring countries and The region has traveled to Afghanistan.
 
Mr. Abed also said that 41,370 Babri vehicles were moving back and forth through transport ports, in addition to other movements.
 
He also reported the movement of 1421 thousand 895 freight vehicles and 3 million 722 thousand 283 passenger vehicles between provinces in the country and added; Projects are still underway to create more facilities on transportation routes.
 
Meanwhile, Maulvi Fathullah Mansoor, the ministry's deputy for aviation operations, said a total of 40,160 transit flights had taken place from the country's airspace last year.
 
He said 30,000 pilgrims were safely transported to Saudi Arabia for the obligatory Hajj and returned last year.
 
The Deputy Operations Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation also added; Turning Khost Airport into an international airport, providing services to Ariana Afghan Airlines, Cam Air and eight other international airlines are among the major activities of the ministry in the past year.
 
He pointed out that the country is surrounded by land, saying; Due to the lack of a water port, special attention should be paid to the Afghan air sector.
 
Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Salam Haidari, the deputy minister of road transport, said 66 training programs were held to improve the capacity of the ministry's staff. These professional staff have been deployed to the country's airports with the aim of providing quality services.
He also announced the free transfer of tens of thousands of returnees from Spin Boldak, Torkham and Kabul to their native areas, adding that any expenditures made by the government from the national budget are public benefit projects.
 
"Through the media, we assure the world today that Afghanistan's airspace is completely safe," officials from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said in response to reporters' questions about the country's air security situation.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has handed over more than 3.5 thousand jeribs of land to the Ministry of Transport and Aviation for the construction of standard transport terminals in Kabul province.
