Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech in Beirut to explain the details of the first phase of the response to the assassination of the martyr commander Fawad Shakar by the Zionist regime.

 

The Secretary General of Hezbollah said: We call today's extensive operation by Hezbollah against the Zionist enemy "Operation Arbaeen" and we emphasize that the party that has brought the situation in Lebanon to this level of tension is the enemy of Israel.

 

At the beginning of his speech, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said: The rush to respond at the height of Israel and America's warning could have meant failure. One of the reasons for the delay in the response was the need for time and deliberation as to whether the response would be through the axis of resistance or stand alone. We waited for the opportunity to negotiate because our goal on this front and all the sacrifices is to stop the war in Gaza. It was decided, for reasons and wisdom that will become clear over time, to conduct our operations individually, and each side in the Axis would decide when and how to respond.

 

He noted: We have set guidelines and limits for the response, including not targeting "civilians". We decided that the target was military and related to the assassination of Fouad Shekar. We also decided that the target should be deep inside the Zionist regime and close to Tel Aviv. We targeted the Gillot base, which is the main base attached to the Aman military intelligence division and the 8200 unit attached to it.

 

Nasrallah continued: "Gilelot" base, which was targeted, is 110 kilometers from the border of Lebanon and 1500 meters from the border of "Tel Aviv".

 

Hezbollah decided to target bases and barracks in the occupied Galilee and Golan with Katyusha missiles, the number of which reached 300. The primary purpose of the "Katyusha" missiles was to engage the "Iron Dome" system and lay the groundwork for a drone attack.

 

Referring to the details of the Arbaeen operation, the Secretary General of Hezbollah added: The time of the operation was set at 5:15 am today. In today's operation, for the first time, we launched a drone from the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon. We emphasize that no Hezbollah launch pad was hit by the enemy before the operation. The hangar of Hezbollah drones was not damaged either before or after the operation. All the drones launched from the Bekaa Valley safely crossed the border of Lebanon and occupied Palestine towards the specified targets.

 

He announced: The specific military target that was targeted in the Arbaeen operation is the military intelligence base "Aman" and "Unit 8200" in "Gilot" near Tel Aviv. Our data indicates that a number of drones have reached these two targets, but the enemy censors the news as usual. Israel's narrative about what happened this morning on the border of Lebanon and occupied Palestine is full of lies, which shows the weakness of this regime. The resistance's decision to target civilians and the invalidation of this effort by the occupying regime is a pure lie.

 

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah emphasized: What was planned happened and our achievement was even more than expected. We were supposed to launch 300 missiles, but we launched 340. We did not intend to use strategic missiles at this time, but we may use them in the near future. None of the strategic missiles that the enemy is talking about have been damaged. What was bombed this morning were the valleys that were evacuated or there were no strategic missiles in them. The claims of the occupying "army" promoted by Netanyahu, that they destroyed thousands of rockets and rocket launchers of Hezbollah, are pure lies.

 

According to Iran Press, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon continued: None of the platforms that were involved in launching the missiles were hit before the operation, and only two platforms were hit after the operation. The enemy did not have any information about the time of the Arbaeen operation, and his attacks, which were carried out one hour before the work, were the result of the Mujahideen's natural movement. None of the enemy attacks targeted the operation area. What happened today was an aggression, not a preventive measure, and if we assume so, it had no effect on today's operation. These are the enemy's false storytellers and intelligence failure for it. Our operation was completed according to plan and in every detail.

 

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah stated: Despite all the intimidation that some inside Lebanon helped, the resistance decided to carry out this operation and carried it out without further delay. We will follow the result of the enemy's cover-up about what happened in these two bases, especially in Golilot. If the result is satisfactory and the desired goal is achieved, we consider the response operation finished, but if the result is not sufficient, we reserve the right to respond until another time.
