Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: As the 105th anniversary of the country's independence from British occupation and the end of the 20-year occupation of the country by the US and its Western allies, a number of experts said in an interview with AVA: The British had seen the region and the world through the permanent occupation of Afghanistan, which became their nightmare with the sincere struggles of the religious people of the country.

He pointed to the differences between the defeat of Britain and Russia in Afghanistan, adding; The struggles of the Afghan Mujahideen played the greatest role in the withdrawal of the British, but the Soviet Union not only faced the tireless struggles of the Muslims of the country, but also led to its collapse from within.

 

Mr. Akbari said the main reason for the US defeat in Afghanistan was the fruitlessness of its financial and military expenditures and said: In addition to the huge financial expenditures, the United States has not been able to achieve its regional goals through this country in 20 years.

 

He said the betrayals of the rulers of the republic, the struggles of the Islamic Emirate and the people of Afghanistan and the involvement of the United States in regional conflicts were among other factors of the defeat of the United States. He was seriously deceived by the Taliban at the Doha summit.

 

Mohammad Sediq Shinwari, a political analyst, told Ava that the three aggressive superpowers in Afghanistan were not honest. Neither Britain, nor the Soviet Union, nor the United States, were sincere and committed to Afghanistan.

 

He pointed out that any country that has been defeated by Afghanistan has collapsed, adding: Not only did Britain lose its regional dominance by defeating Afghanistan, but the Soviet Union also collapsed in the world and now the United States is on the verge of decline.

 

The political analyst accused the United States of not learning from the Soviet Union and Britain, saying: "The United States, without a thorough knowledge of the anti-arrogant spirit of the Afghan people, has been stuck in the quagmire of Afghanistan for 20 years.

 

He called the reason for the US's failure to achieve its goals in Afghanistan the establishment of a corrupt government in the country and added: The United States subordinates those who were actively involved in the country's jihad and instead those who were away from home for years and were not familiar with any kind of tradition. They did not appoint officers and directors in a fully discretionary manner.

 

Mr. Shinwari said the US never undertook programs that would be effective in the field of development of Afghanistan, adding: "The US was mostly trying to achieve its own interests without rebuilding part of our country.
