At the conference, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the deputy economic minister of the prime minister, called the commemoration 1919 and the country's independence anniversary a historic day.

"This day is commemorated when the Afghan nation defeated the British with limited resources," he said. "This day is an unforgettable and proud day in the history of the country.

The Deputy Economic Prime Minister, while pointing out that the Afghan Mujahideen defeated British colonialism with limited but united resources, added: The Afghan people defeated British colonialism with strong faith and unity, but with limited resources.

He also stressed that protecting freedom is as important as taking it.


Meanwhile, Maulavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the prime minister, said at the conference that the British had invaded Afghanistan four times. They were defeated each time by the Mujahideen people of Afghanistan.

He added: The British have not spared any crime and injustice against the people of Afghanistan to achieve their goals.

The deputy administrative prime minister also said: "The mujahid and heroic people of Afghanistan have proved throughout history that the arrogant occupiers will never have a foothold in this land.

He pointed out that the 20-year occupation of the United States has ended and a completely Islamic system prevails in the country.


On the other hand, Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting foreign minister, said that freedom is achieved with the sword, courage and sacrifice and free nations are those who have tasted independence and never accept slavery.

Meanwhile, Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting interior minister, said at the conference that foreigners were destroying Afghan culture and said efforts should be made to maintain national unity and create a more fraternal atmosphere in the country.

Yaqub Mujahid, the acting head of the Ministry of National Defense, said that Afghanistan's independence is a precious heritage of the ancestors of the people of this country. But we will not allow others to interfere in Afghanistan's affairs and we are ready to defend and protect Afghanistan at any cost.

"Today we celebrate this day when the country is truly free," said Fitrat, the chief of staff of the Afghan armed forces.

He also said that there were governments that celebrated this day while the country was under occupation and took orders from others. Today, our country is completely independent and no one's orders are accepted.
