Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, who arrived in Moscow last night, met and talked with Vladimir Putin, the president of the Russian Federation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority: What is happening in the Middle East and in Palestine, of course, does not stay away from Russia's eyes.

He added: "Russia is watching the human tragedy happening in Palestine with pain and concern." We, in turn, do everything to support the Palestinian people.

Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Palestinian Authority, also said in this meeting: We reject the attempt to forcibly transfer Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, the West Bank of the Jordan River, and Jerusalem.

Abbas added: We will not accept the forced migration of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem, as we have done many times before in the 20th century.

The head of the self-governing organization said: The United States has so far prevented the United Nations from making an enforceable decision in this regard.

A number of experts have stated that the purpose of Mahmoud Abbas' visit to Russia is to mediate with Moscow to reduce the severity of Iran's retaliatory blow.
