Rabia Balkhi Women
The Rabia Balkhi Women's Shopping Center in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh, was reconstructed at a cost of 2 million 200 thousand Afghanis and was put into operation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Mazar-e-Sharif: The women's shopping center "Rabia Balkhi" in Mazar-e-Sharif city of Balkh province was reconstructed at a cost of 2 million 200 thousand Afghanis and was inaugurated yesterday.

Bakhtullah Mazhari, a legal and Sharia advisor to the Mazar-e-Sharif municipality, said the center was rebuilt with financial assistance from the Islamic Welfare Institute and is for women entrepreneurs.

He added that the mall has 61 shops and 200 women entrepreneurs in the handicrafts and food sectors.

Mazhari, rejecting foreign claims that the Islamic Emirate does not allow women to work, said it was the second women's business center in Mazar-e-Sharif that had provided job opportunities for 400 women.

She called the revival of the center a safe business place for women and stressed that they are trying to create more job opportunities for women.

It is worth mentioning that this commercial center is the second center in Mazar-e-Sharif after Khadija al-Kubra, where a number of women entrepreneurs are active in the fields of handicrafts, sewing and local food production.
