Helping Afghanistan
The Ministry of Public Health says the acting head of the ministry has met with the British embassy clerk for Afghanistan to discuss assistance to Afghanistan's health system, treatment of drug addicts and attracting international aid.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement on Saturday that Maulavi Jalal Jalali, the acting head of the ministry, met with Robert Dixon, the clerk of the British Embassy in Afghanistan, in his office.
 
The meeting discussed the fields of assistance to the Afghan health system, treatment of drug addicts, maternal and child health, cooperation and attraction of international aid in the field of health.
 
Maulavi Noor Jalal Jalali said the Ministry of Public Health had treated a large number of drug addicts in the past two years and many drug addicts were being treated in central Kabul and provincial rehabilitation centers.
 
He also called for the cooperation of international health organizations in the field of health and asked the British Embassy to cooperate with Afghanistan in the field of health.
 
Meanwhile, the British High Commissioner to Afghanistan assured the Acting Minister of Public Health of continued cooperation in the field of health.
