The Ministry of Interior has announced the initiation of a nationwide program to issue electronic driving licenses for the first time in the country.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Mufti Abdul Mateen Qane, the spokesman for the Ministry, revealed that the rollout of these electronic licenses will soon begin across the nation.

He added that, this new system is designed to address the issue of illegal licenses and is expected to contribute to the prevention of traffic accidents while fostering numerous other positive changes.

Currently, the country faces frequent traffic incidents, largely attributed to the lack of professionalism and negligence among drivers. The introduction of electronic licenses aims to improve overall road safety and regulatory compliance.
