Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hafiz Zia Ahmad, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, said in a statement on X-Network that Waliullah Shaheen, head of the Center for Strategic Studies, first reviewed the change of government in Iran and bilateral relations.
Mr. Shahin said Afghanistan and Iran are neighbors and neighborhood has a very high status and value in religious texts, which is why the Islamic Emirate is trying to have good relations with all its neighbors.
"We have good relations and interactions with Iran and it is expected that bilateral relations will be strengthened with the change of government in Iran," he said.
The main speaker of the meeting, Dr. Jafar Mahdavi, a university professor, said the issue of relations with Afghanistan is very important for Iran, as both countries share a 950-kilometer border and religious, linguistic and cultural commonalities.
It is worth mentioning that Iran and Afghanistan have had good relations in the political, economic, trade and security fields in recent years and officials of both sides have always expressed their interest in expanding relations.
