Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Following the announcement of the results of this year's entrance examination, the officials of the Ministry of Higher Education and social-educational affairs experts expressed hope about the current state of higher education in the country and consider the field suitable for learning science at different levels.

Nada Mohammad Nadim, Acting Minister of Higher Education, said on the first day of the national work meeting on the process of education at higher levels in the country that the curriculum of the country has been revised.

He also added that efforts are underway to consider suitable courses for students based on the time requirements.

The Acting Minister of Higher Education of the country pointed out that the Ministry has decided to have its own specialized staff in various fields and added that serious efforts and planning are underway to do this.

He also added that currently more than 200,000 students are studying at bachelor's, master's and doctorate levels.

At the same time, Seyed Abdullah Alizada, a social affairs expert, in an interview with AVA reporter regarding the challenges faced by newcomers to the bachelor's degree, said: Some fields that are sometimes desired by some students do not exist in the field classifications.

Referring to the complexity of the majors in the concours exam, he added; The absence of a clear process in the field selection section before the concours exams makes the participants in the exam confused and stressed.

While pointing out the economic view of private universities towards the educational system, this social affairs expert said: these universities sacrifice quality for material things due to economic competition, and the real value of science is degraded with this view.

Mr. Alizada expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation of the neighboring countries regarding the development of higher education in the country and added: The neighboring countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, have been extremely cooperative in attracting Afghan students and creating educational facilities for the students.

On the other hand, Abdullah Ghanizada, an expert on social affairs and a cultural activist, said in an interview with AVA reporter about the challenges in the country's education system that have arisen since the outbreak of the Corona virus and the change in the country's system; Unfortunately, the gap between academic semesters caused serious damage to their morale and academic motivation.

He called the neglect of academic staff from their duties after the establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan as unmanly and added that political and government changes are a natural thing in every country, but scientific and trained academic elements must be with their people in any situation.

Mr. Ghanizada considered the non-recognition of Afghanistan by the international community as one of the important factors of harming the education system in the country and added; The reduction of scholarships and other cooperation that used to be done by some countries has now stopped and this is a serious challenge.

Referring to the provision of national security in the country, he considered it a good opportunity to continue his education and said that due to the weakness of the people's economy, countries should cooperate with Afghanistan in the field of providing free education scholarships.
