The commander of the 444th Engineering Group of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army has said that four engineering groups of this country, including the Ground Forces of the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, are busy blocking the northeastern borders of Iran.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Brigadier General Ahmad Akbari, the commander of the 444th Engineering Group of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, on Tuesday, in a meeting with the governor of Taybad district of this country, said: the technical operation of this strategic and large project in the strip of the common borders of the province. Razavi province of Khorasan is 300 km long with the country of Afghanistan.

He stated: "Fortunately, during the implementation of this project, the various stages of its implementation in the south and north of the Dogharon border have made good physical progress, and the necessary infrastructure for its continuation in this part of the country has also been provided by using the internal capabilities."

The commander of the 444th Engineering Group of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran pointed to the technical specifications of the wall blocking project for the northeastern borders of Iran and said: The walls of this project are each four meters high and three meters and 70 centimeters long, and their thickness is one meter and It reaches 10 cm.

According to IRNA, Akbari added: "We have used all the opportunities in different areas to complete this national plan, and in this regard, a good synergy has been created among the institutions in charge."

Mehdi Shirdal, the governor of Taybad district of Iran, also said in this meeting: the power and authority of all the armed forces on the eastern borders of Iran with Afghanistan is exemplary, which has established stable security for these areas and the border residents, who are the real border guards. 

He added: The official Dogharun crossing is the most important gate for the entry and exit of Afghan nationals to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which thanks to the presence of armed forces and border residents, 100% security has been established at this point of the country's borders.

He stated: Without a doubt, the security established in the northeastern borders plays a big role in the level of relations between Iran and Afghanistan, which can be the basis for other interactions between these two neighboring countries.

He continued: The ground forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and other armed forces have been in the field for the honor and authority of Islamic Iran in all fields and have sacrificed their lives for the pride of Islamic Iran.

It should be mentioned that the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran recently announced that they are taking action in the eastern borders of this country due to security issues and drug trafficking.
