The Sunni followers of Dehrazi village, Balkh district, Balkh province, said during the Muharram mourning ceremony that Imam Hussain (AS) does not belong to any sect or religion, but belongs to Islam and its followers, and it is everyone's duty to honor the position of martyrs, especially the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH).

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-Sharif: Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimin Seyed Haider Hashemi, the representative of Hazrat Ayatollah Sistani (Mudazalah al-Aali) in the country and Imam of Soltanieh Mosque in the city of Mazar-Sharif, during the ceremony honoring the movement of Imam Hussein (AS) by the followers of Imam Abu Hanifah (RA) in Dehrazi village, Balkh district, Balkh province, he said that this ceremony is to pay homage to the leader of martyrs of the world and the grandson of Rasoolullah (PBUH).

He added: "The followers of Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) respected the movement and character of Imam Hussein (AS) in fact, it is a glorification of the beacon of guidance and the ship of salvation for mankind, and I also offer my condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the son of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

Hojat-ul-Islam Hashemi stated that the celebration of Ashura by the residents of Dehrazi village, Balkh district, Balkh province, as the birthplace of Maulana, is worthy and praiseworthy, and I appreciate all the maulvis, sheikhs, Quran reciters, students and elders who are the founders of the Majlis.

He added: Aisha, the wife of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), said that when Imam Hussain (AS) was a child, he came upon the Prophet (PBUH) and rode on his shoulder and back, at that time Gabriel descended and said, O Prophet, your nation is after you. There will be sedition and this son of yours will be martyred, and then he stretched out his hand and brought a handful of soil from the land of Karbala and gave it to the Prophet (PBUH) and said that your son will be martyred in this soil and land.

He clarified that Hazrat Aisha said that the Prophet (PBUH) shed tears after hearing about the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and left the house and faced a group of companions that included Abu Bakr, Umar and Ali (AS). The Companions asked, O Messenger of God, what made you cry, and He showed the soil to the Companions and narrated the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) from the mouth of Gabriel.

Ayatollah Sistani's representative in the country stated that the Prophet (PBUH) said "Hussein is from me and I am from Hussain" and "Hussein is the light of guidance and the ship of salvation". Also, the Messenger of God prayed that God love whoever loves Hussain.

In a part of his speech, referring to the introduction of Yazid and its corrupt practices, he said: Yazid is the son of Muawiyah and a Jewish woman who brutally martyred and captured the Prophet's family in Karbala in the year 61 of the lunar year. In 62 Qamuri, he attacked Medina, the city of the Prophet, and martyred 10,000 Muslims, including 700 companions, and his men raped Muslim women, who left 1,000 illegitimate children in recorded history.

He clarified that Yazid attacked Mecca in 63 lunar year and destroyed the house of God with a catapult and fire, and in the end he died.

This religious scholar said: In Karbala, Yazid and his army martyred the grandson of the Messenger of God (PBUH), a six-month-old child, the Hafiz and the believers, and they put the heads of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) on spears and even set fire to the tents.

Hojjat al-Islam Hashemi expressed the importance of holding meetings for Imam Hussain (a.s.) and said that in Hussain (a.s.) meetings, souls find freedom and minds clear because Imam Hussain (a.s.) gave his all for the sake of God Almighty so that humanity would survive. 

Referring to the campaigns and speech of Imam Hussein (AS) against the injustice and crime of Yazid, he added: The government and the people should work towards the growth and development of the Husseini (AS) councils, because Imam Hussein (AS) tried to reform and revive the religion of his ancestor Hazrat Muhammad. (Peace be upon him) and the pleasure of God has given life, from this Tasi to this school will reform our people and society.

At the same time, Qari Nematullah Stanakzai, a cultural and social activist, said: Imam Hussain (AS) does not belong to any religious movement, but belongs to Islam and its followers, and honoring the status of martyrs, especially the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH), is everyone's duty.

It should be mentioned that reciting a prayer about the oppression of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in Persian and Pashto languages ​​was part of this ceremony.
