Iran's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Bagheri, in a meeting with Lebanon's Foreign Minister, emphasized Iran's strong support for the stability and security of Lebanon and said: Islamic countries should make the Zionist regime regret the threat against Lebanon.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ali Bagheri, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met and talked with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib, following the diplomatic consultations in New York, on Wednesday evening, July 17, local time.

Bagheri considered the continuation of talks with Lebanon and consultation with the authorities of this country as one of the important priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized Iran's strong support for Lebanon's stability and security.

Referring to Lebanon's central role in regional stability, Iran's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs added: As in the past, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes on supporting the resistance in Palestine, but at the same time, it is trying to prevent the expansion of the war in the region by stopping the attacks of the Israeli regime against Gaza.

Bagheri added: Palestinians are the real owners of Palestine and they are the ones who should decide for their land and future.

The head of the diplomatic service emphasized the need to prevent the continuation of crimes and attacks by Zionists against the oppressed people of Gaza as soon as possible.

He called the neglect of this issue and the expansion of the Zionist regime's attacks as the source of the escalation of the crisis in the region and stated: Islamic countries should make the Zionist regime regret the threat against Lebanon.

Appreciation for Iran's support for Lebanon's stability and security
In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon also pointed out the importance of the Gaza and Palestine issue and emphasized the need to continue efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza immediately.

He added: "We are looking for peace and stability in the region, and in addition to ending the war against Gaza, efforts should be made to eliminate the risk of expanding the scope of the war in the region."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for supporting the stability and security of Lebanon. In this meeting, some issues of bilateral relations in various fields were also discussed and exchanged.
