The Iraqi Foreign Minister announced the imminent meeting of Syrian and Turkish officials in Baghdad to discuss the Syrian crisis and called for a quick and fair solution to Iran's blocked financial resources in Iraq.

Afghan Voice Agecny (AVA): According to the report of Tasnim International News Agency, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fawad Hossein announced the imminent meeting of Syrian and Turkish officials in Baghdad to discuss the Syrian crisis and called for a quick and fair solution to Iran's blocked financial resources in Iraq.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister, who has traveled to Washington to participate in the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) meeting, said in an interview with the American channel "Al-Hura" on the sidelines of this trip that he met with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Washington on Wednesday and said that Iraq is willing to mediate between Ankara and Damascus.

Hossein added that Iraq is still in contact with the Syrian side and the date of this meeting will be determined in Baghdad.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister said: The decision to mediate was made by Iraq, and we do not act according to anyone's opinion either in domestic or foreign policy, but we discuss with our friends and allies about the actions we choose, especially those related to security and stability. 

The head of Iraqi diplomacy stated that the success of this mediation will have a positive impact on Iraq if the two sides reach important results and the problems of the region are resolved through peaceful means and negotiations and not through military means.

Regarding reports that Hamas leaders are planning to leave Qatar for Iraq following increased pressure from Doha and the United States on the Hamas movement to show more flexibility in negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, Iraq's foreign minister said: "No official decision has been made regarding There is no transfer of the Hamas office to Iraq, I am not aware of such a decision.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister also emphasized on finding a quick and fair solution for Iran's blocked financial resources in Iraq in a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State John Bass.
