Shahbaz Sharif: We hope that the path of Martyr Raisi will continue in the new government of Iran

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, in a telephone call with Iran's President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian, called the historic visit of Martyr Ayatollah Raisi to this country the opening of a new chapter in the relations between Tehran and Islamabad and expressed hope that the two neighboring countries would follow this path with the President-elect of Iran.

Shahbaz Sharif further pointed to the depth of ties between the two countries and the very good cultural and historical relations of the two nations and expressed the hope that these valuable capacities will be used during the presidency of the doctors as a suitable platform for further strengthening and development of cooperation.
 
The Prime Minister of Pakistan called the historic visit of the late President of Iran to Pakistan as the opening of a new chapter in the relations between the two countries and added: In this trip, there were very good agreements, including the increase in the volume of trade between the two countries to 10 billion dollars and new initiatives in development. Border trade took place.
 
Shahbaz Sharif also emphasized the importance of maintaining the stability and security of the borders of the two countries, and demanded to strengthen the security cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the field of dealing with terrorism and terrorist groups.
 
In this telephone conversation, the doctors also considered the emphasis and special attention of the leader of the Islamic Revolution on the development of relations between Iran and Pakistan as one of the inviolable principles of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and said: the long-standing relations and deep cultural, religious and civilizational ties between the two countries.
 
Also, stating that the direction of the relations between the two countries is towards the use of common capacities in line with the interests of the two nations of Iran and Pakistan, he added: There are many unused capacities for the development of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan, which we hope will be achieved with joint efforts in the direction of improving relations. 
 
The president-elect of Iran also emphasized the readiness to implement the agreements of the two countries in various political, economic and security fields and expressed hope that the lofty friendly and fraternal goals of these two countries will be realized in the new period.
