The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat, in a meeting with the deputy representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this province, says that with the election of a new president in this country, there will be no change in Iran's policy towards its neighbors, especially Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Rahmatullah Faizan, the Deputy Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met and talked with Mohammad Sediqifar, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat at the Consulate General of this country.

In this meeting, Mr. Faizan, while congratulating on the successful holding of the presidential elections of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the election of the new president of this country, discussed how to establish a joint economic committee between Herat and Mashhad and also solve the problems of those Afghans who live in Iran with legal documents. 

Mr. Sediqifar, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat, expressed his hope that the meeting of the Economic Committee of the two countries will be held in Mashhad this week.

Regarding the reports of the deportation of some Afghans with legal documents from this country, he also said: We are trying to solve this problem as soon as possible.

At the end of this meeting, Sediqifar assured that with the election of the new president, there will be no change in Iran's policy towards its neighbors, especially Afghanistan.
