In a ceremony, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the Prime Minister's Office, laid the foundation stone for the remaining works of the Arghandi substation in Kabul. According to officials, with the completion of this project, 400,000 families in 5 provinces of the country will benefit from electricity.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the Cabinet today (Thursday, June 26) inaugurated the remaining works of the Arghandi substation in Kabul.

Officials of the Islamic Emirate, representatives of the private sector and a number of local residents also participated in this ceremony, which was held in the Arghandi area of ​​Kabul.

This substation is being built to transfer Turkmenistan's electricity from Khaja Alwan plain of Baghlan to Arghandi area of ​​Kabul, and its cost is estimated at eight million six hundred thousand dollars.

The work of this project will be completed in the next two years and including Kabul, about 400,000 families in Ghazni, Paktia, Khost and Nangarhar provinces will benefit from electricity.

Also, the problem of lack of electricity will be reduced to some extent and progress in the industry sector will be discussed.
