Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a meeting with the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), announced the full readiness of the delegation of the Islamic Emirate regarding the main topics of the Doha meeting, including drugs, banking and financial restrictions, and obstacles to the growth of the private sector.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, issued a statement saying that the head of the ministry, Amir Khan Motaghi, met with the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), Roza Otunbaeva, in Kabul.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed the points of the agenda and other issues related to the participation of the delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the upcoming meeting in Doha.

According to the announcement in this meeting, Amir Khan Motaghi said that the delegation of the Islamic Emirate is fully prepared for the main topics of the Doha meeting, including drugs, banking and financial restrictions, and obstacles to the growth of the private sector.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Kabul delegation led by the Central Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, the Head of the Political Office of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar and representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Industry and Trade will participate in the Doha meeting.

On the other hand, Otunbayeva also considered the Doha meeting as a good opportunity for the parties to share their views and have a fruitful discussion on the issues.

The Doha meeting on Afghanistan hosted by the United Nations is scheduled to be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Sunday next week.
