Putin's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also said in Tashkent on Tuesday that the Taliban have the real power in Afghanistan and that Russia will remove the name of this group from the list of terrorist groups.

Earlier, on Monday of this week, Zamir Kabulov, the special representative of the Russian president for Afghanistan affairs, said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Justice of Russia proposed removing the Islamic Emirate from the list of terrorist groups to the president of this country in order to identify the Emirate. At the beginning of the 21st century, we believed that the Taliban were terrorists and considered the Americans to be partners in the fight against extremism. Emphasizing that the geopolitical landscape has changed over the past 20 years, this Russian official continued: Now the Islamic Emirate is in power and we are close to establishing full-fledged relations with them.

On the other hand, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in response to the action to remove the Islamic Emirate from the list of terrorist groups, said that "Taliban is the real power in Afghanistan, and the initiative to remove it from the list of banned organizations shows awareness of the reality."

Action to remove the Islamic Emirate from the list of terrorist groups and the words of the President of Russia in Uzbekistan met with a positive reaction from the government of the Islamic Emirate.

Zakir Jalali, advisor to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, wrote in this regard: Following the statements of the special representative of the Russian President, Zamir Kabulov, the head of the National Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, clearly emphasized the development of relations with the Islamic Emirate. that establishing relations with the emirate is a necessity.

He added: This is the highest level of Russia's statement about the development of relations with the Islamic Emirate, which shows the satisfaction and political determination of his country for the development of relations.

The advisor of the foreign minister of the caretaker government has considered this issue as an important development in Russia's political understanding of the Islamic Emirate.
