Sale of 60 thousand tons of crude oil from Qashgari mine worth more than 30 million dollars

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum says that 60,000 tons of Qashgari block crude oil was sold to a domestic company in a bid worth more than 30 million dollars.

It is said that this amount of oil was tendered by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum among 18 domestic companies.

Shahabeddin Delavar, Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, has asked domestic and foreign investors to invest in the mining sector for the sake of economic growth and job opportunities in the country.

In this tender, the head of the ministry announced the increase of oil extraction level to 100,000 tons per month and said that the ministry is trying to establish a standard oil refinery in the country.

Shahabuddin Delavar added: "Anyone who buys 20,000 tons should write his price, and whoever buys 60,000 tons should write the price. Whoever was good and benefited Afghanistan, we will give the price to the same person."

Mr. Delaware said in connection with the establishment of the refinery: "We are negotiating with foreigners to establish a good refinery in the country where diesel, gasoline, furniture, bitumen and grease can be mixed."

At the same time, the officials of the winning company have clearly expressed their satisfaction with the process of holding this tender.

Syed Ghafoor Ahmad Javid, the manager of the winning company, said: "Our rate, which was minus 8.70, we won. The important thing is that this oil is refined all over Afghanistan and now there is a refinery."

It should be mentioned that in the last three years, dozens of small and large mines have been contracted with domestic and foreign companies.
