Russia and Afghanistan agree on granting preferential tariffs for the country's products

Officials in the Ministry of Industry and Trade say that this ministry has agreed with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on granting preferential tariffs for Afghan products and creating a special customs plan from Russia on the country's export goods.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Abdul Salam Javad, the spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate, announced this issue today (Sunday, May 19) in an interview with an Ava reporter.

According to him, Nooruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate and his accompanying delegation met with Vasily Sergeevich Ozmakov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and his accompanying delegation.

Mr. Javad adds that in this meeting, an agreement was reached on the granting of preferential tariffs for Afghan products under the Least Developed Countries (LDC) program and on the creation of a special customs plan by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade for Afghanistan's export goods.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade had announced that the head of the ministry had a meeting with the Russian vice chancellor on holding a business communication conference, removing the export tax on raw materials, arranging the trip of the Afghan delegation to the ports of Astrakhan and Makhachkala and the exhibition of Afghan products and products. They have agreed in Moscow.

It should be mentioned that Nouruddin Azizi and his delegation have been in Russia for several days, making various visits with the authorities of this country.
