At least 50 professors have been arrested at pro-Palestinian campus demonstrations across the US, local US media reported on Saturday.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Monitoring: According to US broadcaster CNN, which said it reviewed police records, court filings and news reports, at least 50 professors have been arrested at pro-Palestinian campus demonstrations across the US.

Since April 18, more than 2,400 students have been arrested on more than 50 campuses, the CNN said, according to Al Jazeera.

Some of the arrested professors, who said they wished to support students’ right to free speech, were detained violently, resulting in injuries.
