Sergei Shoigu said in a conference with senior officials of the Russian Armed Forces: In total, this year they have lost 111,000 soldiers and 21,000 units of weapons and military equipment. In addition, Kiev is losing 1,000 soldiers a day due to the demands of the United States and its allies to prevent Russian armed forces from attacking at all costs.
 
According to Sputnik, he added: The United States and its allies want Ukraine to prevent the collapse of its defense lines and do so at any cost, as a result, the daily losses of the enemy have increased to 1,000 deaths in April.
The Russian Defense Minister also said that the Russian army has taken control of 547 square kilometers of the territory of the new territories since the beginning of the year. He added: Russian armed forces gained complete control over Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka and Berdychi settlements in the Donetsk People's Republic during the past two weeks.
