America's presentation of the draft of the immediate ceasefire resolution in Gaza to the UN Security Council
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: In line with the diplomatic efforts of the United States of America to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, Anthony Blinken, the country's foreign minister, is in Saudi Arabia and before his trip today to Egypt to meet with the chief ministers of six Arab countries and officials. The Palestinian Authority said that the United States has submitted a draft resolution to the UN Security Council in which it demanded an immediate ceasefire and the release of the hostages.
Until now, the United States has vetoed all UN Security Council resolutions on the Gaza war in the past six months, and last time in February it objected to the use of the word "urgent" in the draft resolution presented by Algeria.
However, in recent weeks, Washington has increased the pressure on Israel and at the same time emphasized that Hamas should immediately release all the hostages kidnapped during the October 7 attacks.
Mr. Blinken's recent trip to the Middle East is his sixth trip since the start of the war in Gaza.
