CEO of Iran's Ministry of Agriculture in a meeting with Acting Minister of Agriculture:

Iran is ready to invest in Afghanistan in various sectors

Officials in the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock say that the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with the head of the Ministry, spoke about Iran's preparations for investing in the sectors of livestock, agriculture, irrigation, horticulture, education, animal breeding and dairy processing.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Misbahuddin Mastain, the head of information and public awareness of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, announced this meeting today (Thursday, Fabruary 22) in an interview with AVA reporter.

According to him, Maulavi Ataullah Omari, head of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, met with Seyyed Hassan Mortazavi, deputy of the Iranian embassy in Kabul, Abolfazl Chamandi, deputy of coordination of economic affairs of Khorasan Razavi province, and Mr. Hemti, managing director of Jihad Esteghlal organization in the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran.

In this meeting, the Iranian delegation spoke about the interest of the Iranian government and investors in the field of work and investment in Afghanistan.

Mr. Hemati, the Managing Director of Iran's Ministry of Agriculture, spoke about Iran's preparations for investing in sectors such as livestock, agriculture, irrigation, horticulture, education, animal breeding and dairy processing, and assured that they are ready to start practical work in these sectors.

On the other hand, Maulavi Attaullah Omari spoke about the availability of good working conditions in agriculture, livestock, irrigation and horticulture and the need to work in these sectors.

He added: "We always told our Iranian friends in our meetings, let's work together, because Afghanistan has unique advantages in the world."

Acting Minister of Agriculture said that Iran has made great progress in agriculture and livestock sectors compared to Afghanistan, and Afghanistan needs to use Iran's experiences.

He continued that the Islamic Emirate is ready to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran and that joint work will be mutually beneficial.

Based on the words of the head of information and public awareness of the Ministry of Agriculture, a committee with the membership of advisers and heads of the Ministry of Agriculture was appointed in the recent parliament to work on advancing the work and taking practical steps with the Iranian delegation.
