Foreign ministers of EU member states did not agree to send military aid known as "European Peace Facility" in their informal meeting in Brussels.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Josep Borrell, the head of the European Union's foreign policy, in a press conference after this informal meeting, also said: talks about military aid to Ukraine or proposals to increase the budget at the ministerial meeting on February 19, 2024.
According to Tass news agency, Burrell also continued: Important negotiations were held regarding this military aid and our unity in this regard. We talked about the situation on the battlefield, the situation regarding military aid and the aid budget to Ukraine.
The head of foreign policy of the European Union continued: I hope that an agreement will be reached on the European peace facility in the coming days. Our position remains firm. Ukraine needs more and faster aid and this aid will be provided.
On February 1 this year, the European Union approved the allocation of 50 billion euros from the EU budget to Ukraine over the next four years, but postponed the decision to increase the European peace budget with the aim of boosting arms shipments and obliged the foreign ministers of the member states.
