Yemen Targets British Ship in Ongoing Support for Gaza

Yemen's Armed Forces announced the targeting of a British vessel, expressing continued solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and condemning American-British aggression.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Monitoring: "The naval forces in the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted a British commercial ship in the Red Sea that was headed to the ports of occupied Palestine with appropriate naval missiles," declared the forces on Thursday.
These operations against Israeli vessels or those bound for the occupied Palestinian territories' ports have become routine for the Yemeni forces in response to the Israeli regime's war and siege since October 7, 2023, nearly 27,000 Palestinians, primarily women, children, and adolescents, have been killed.
The United States and the UK have retaliated with multiple missile attacks against Yemeni targets in response to these operations.
The Yemeni forces emphasized that the strike on the British ship was also executed "as part of the response to the American-British aggression” against their country.
They declared their commitment to ongoing operations "until the cessation of [the Israeli war of] aggression and the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip."
On Thursday, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, dismissed claims by American and British officials alleging that Yemeni operations had "endangered" maritime navigation.
"Passage of 4,874 ships through the Red Sea without any objection confirms that American and British claims are false," he asserted.
"The US's problems stem from its desire to maintain hegemony over the region," he added, noting that Washington was seeking "to contain any reaction against the genocidal crimes they (the Israelis) are committing in Gaza."/Tasnim News
