The UN's human rights office strongly condemned the "unlawful killing of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank" by Israeli forces, insisting that it must "immediately end."
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights documented a rising number of unlawful killings since October 7 and called for Israel to "provide accountability for all unlawful use of force" by its forces.
This stern statement followed what the UN described as a "planned extrajudicial execution" of three Palestinian men inside Ibn Sina Hospital in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday.
According to the UN, undercover Israelis carried out the killings, including an 18-year-old in his hospital bed who was "half-paralyzed" and receiving treatment after an Israeli air strike in October. The Israelis also killed the patient's 23-year-old brother and a 27-year-old man.
The UN reminded Israel in the statement that, according to international law, "firearms may only be used when strictly necessary and to prevent an imminent threat to life or serious injury," or it is considered unlawful./Tasnim News
